I’m Theresa Kepple, a Holistic Nutritionist and Health Coach. I guide women and men in midlife to heal themselves, regain energy, and shape lives that feed their souls.
I love how my body feels when I fuel it with whole foods. I have amazing energy and enjoy my life.
But it wasn’t always this way.
After 20 years supporting internet technology used by clients and nonprofits, I was tired all the time, overweight, and stressed from years of doing, going, pushing, and accomplishing. I was pouring my heart into my work and ignoring the messages from my body. I struggled to get out of bed every morning, and I felt drained all day. Emotionally and physically exhausted, I had zero passion for anything.
When I realized I wasn’t fully present for my young son, I could take no more.
I knew it was time to stop this downward spiral and answer my soul’s calling. I was ready to get back to my old self—that version of me that was energized, engaged, and passionate.
I decided to leave my technology career and guide women and men on journeys back to their true selves.
But first, I had to figure out how to heal myself!
I had always loved healing plants, so I enrolled in courses about American and Chinese medicinal herbs and began practicing on myself and my friends. I built a strong yoga practice. I worked regularly with an acupuncturist and was mentored in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and how food is an integral part of that system. I practiced mindfulness and meditation. I worked with an Ayurvedic guide who taught me that spices such as turmeric and cinnamon have healing properties. My journey using food as medicine had begun.
I completed a Nutrition Consultant certificate from Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition, so I could understand how food interacted with my body. What a learning process! I was amazed at how whole, live foods increased my energy and solved many of my digestive issues. I began to realize that the food I eat every day directly impacts how I feel that day, and how I feel the next day, too. As I paid attention to what I ate and how I felt, the weight came off, my joints stopped aching, and I had more than enough energy to take care of me and my son.
Now I live my joy every day by sharing knowledge from my life lessons and proven nutritional practices with my clients and my community.
I practice mindfulness in everything I do, approach each day with an open heart, and provide tailored support to my clients as I guide them on their healing journeys.
I am not perfect.
And I remember the struggles of juggling a stressful job, a family life, and still finding time for me.
I believe food is meant to be fun and satisfying. Food should be joyful! Food prep should be easy. Small, consistent changes add up to big wins.
I believe that when you feed yourself the perfect blend of foods in their most fresh, natural form you honor your body, every time you eat. When you choose to eat whole, live foods – which are amazing gifts from the earth – you nourish your body and you nurture your soul. This is a sacred practice.
When you have the mindset that eating whole, live foods is a sacred practice, you gain much more than nutrients that your body needs. You develop a Whole Foods Consciousness that nurtures vitality in your body, mind and spirit.
Practicing Whole Foods Consciousness, you will return your body to its optimal state, regain health, and feel energized, engaged, and passionate about life once again.
